Beauty & the Beast
Elegant meets rustic in this version of the classic tale
As the fairy tale goes the beautiful young woman Belle is taken prisoner by a Beast who in reality is a prince cursed to inhabit a hideous form reflecting his own previous cruelty. In the Disney version of the classic tale the curse is represented by an enchanted withering rose. By finding true love, despite his ugliness, the prince can break the curse, but only before the withering rose loses all its petals.
